The Costa del Sol is one of the favorite destinations for European tourists for many reasons. In summer, moreover, is when most of these visits are concentrated thanks to the large number of things you can do at this time on the Costa del Sol.
In this article we want to tell you about some of these things that we have chosen and that, without a doubt, will always be a good choice if you choose the province of Malaga as your vacation destination.
The Costa del Sol in summer, the place where to enjoy your vacations
As mentioned above, the fame of the Costa del Sol is well deserved. Coming to Malaga or any of its municipalities (Marbella, Fuengirola, etc.) is synonymous with enjoying the good weather making the best plans with your loved ones.
Without further ado, these are some of the ideas that we believe can help you to improve, even more, your stay on the Costa del Sol. Enjoy them!
Strolling through the exclusive Puerto Banús
Puerto Banus is undoubtedly one of the most exclusive places on the Costa del Sol. Seeing high-end vehicles next to some of the best yachts is a daily routine in this place.
Therefore, walking around this port, eating in some of its restaurants and visiting some of its exclusive stores is one of the favorite activities for both locals and tourists.
For this reason, it is always a frequent recommendation whatever the municipality of the Costa del Sol where you are spending your vacations. After all, booking a transfer from Malaga to Puerto Banus is a simple task and will only require a 50-minute drive.
Eat “pescaíto frito” (fried fish) in any beach bar on the Costa del Sol.
It is perhaps the best known dish in Malaga, but it should not be repeated. The pescaíto frito, although it sounds contradictory, is much more than frying fish. It is the pleasure of sitting down with a refreshing drink, enjoying the sun in front of the beach, and eating something so linked to the traditions of Malaga.
The wide variety of fish available to the consumer, in addition to other forms not fried but very linked to “going to the beach bar”, make this plan one of the favorites of the locals (it must be for something). In addition, ordering espetos will be a mandatory option).
Going to see a concert at the Starlite in Marbella
There are many concerts and festivals that are held throughout the municipalities of the Costa del Sol during such desirable dates as the summer. Even so, it is not difficult to affirm that the most exclusive is probably the Starlite of Marbella.
In this “festival”, you can see the best national and international artists throughout the summer. Its format is to offer a concert every day throughout the summer, and not a festival of “agglomeration” of artists on the same day.
As a result of the success of this festival, it is common to see people from all parts of Andalusia attending a concert, being common to take a transfer from Malaga to Marbella for those who reside or are on vacation in that city.
Go to any beach
Not because it is something logical we should ignore this plan. If you come to Malaga in summer, what more mandatory plan than going to any of its many beaches?
It doesn’t matter if you are spending your vacations in Malaga, Nerja, Marbella or Fuengirola. All the beaches of the Costa del Sol will be the ideal place to spend a day enjoying the good weather, good beach bars and a refreshing swim.
Playing golf in the excellent golf courses in Malaga
Another of the reasons that make thousands of tourists come to the Costa del Sol every year, is to enjoy its many golf courses scattered along the coast.
Throughout the province of Malaga you will not only find the best golf courses, but it’s offer is quite high, with several in virtually all municipalities (if we talk about the best known, of course).
So a recommendation is, if you come to the Costa del Sol and you are passionate about golf, visiting one of them is a must to enjoy the good weather while practicing one of your favorite sports.
These are some of the plans that we have come up with, but there are many more. Which ones do you think are a must on your list?
